The cottage is in a tiny hamlet about 5 miles Southeast of Riberac. The immediate countryside is undulating with farms, vineyards, woodlands and delightful scenery. In Riberac there are shops, supermarkets and restaurants.
The cottage is all that remains of a very old house, having walls two feet thick and the original oak beams throughout. It consists of a kitchen/dining area/lounge, two large well-furnished bedrooms (one with double bed, one with twin beds and cot if needed) and bathroom with shower, bidet, toilet and washbasin. The cottage is fully equipped but linen is not provided. All facilities are electric; the price of which is included in the rental. Satellite TV is available.
There is a small terrace/garden leading from the living room from which there is a lovely view, where one can eat or sunbathe. To the rear is a large garden with lower terrace and "petit chalet". Both terraces have garden furniture and there is a BBQ. 5 Cycles (2 male, 3 female) are available for your use.
The kitchen is well equipped with cooker/oven, microwave, mini-oven, fridge freezer and washing machine.
It is a perfect location for a truly relaxing holiday. The area is excellent for walking and cycling. The river Dronne, offers swimming, canoeing and fishing and visitors can use the Beauclair Holiday Village just 2 miles away on the banks of the river Dronne with its lake, beach, swings etc.
Medieval towns, castles, prehistoric caves, country markets are all within close reach and the capital of the region, Perigueux with its many attractions is just 14 miles away.
